Project Outline:
"A reworking of Frédéric Chopin's Nocturnes, drawing out their sensory beauty through physical performance, live music and digital arts."
Taking the physicality of the performer I constructed a surreal world from still photographs and backgrounds composited in After Effects. The performer re-worked the narrative in a blue room and allowed high quality photographics of various positions, some preconceived, some spontaneous to be taken, later to be constructed into motion.
The resulting edit has been broadcast within the performance environment in thearters around the UK as part of a tour.
